Our founder thought the word Après was suited to the product that she designed, based on the idea that it is used ‘after’ our most intimate moments. There were many more names thrown around, but she wanted to keep it feminine, classy and elegant.

The medical grade foam is designed to quickly mop up the excess liquid, so a few seconds is all it takes.

We have specifically selected a medical grade foam of the highest quality, to ensure your comfort. They're hypoallergenic, so there's no added chemicals or nasties. Après sponge is made of medical-grade polyurethane, similar to contraceptive sponges, without additives. The handle is also polypropylene. They are individually wrapped and sterilised.

Our foam is specifically chosen to absorb liquids more quickly, whereas a tampon is designed to be left inside the vaginal canal to absorb over a longer period of time. Tampons are also made from a more dense, cotton material. Whereas Après are a medical grade foam.

Après isn't designed to prevent any form of STI.

Après is designed specifically for the female vaginal canal. We don't recommend using it in any other body parts.
